The buzz on the new Metallica is that the band "is privately giddy with the new album which, under the guidance of imported star producer Rick Rubin, is a return to the thunderous menace of the band's mid-1980s work." We are excited too (giddy?... perhaps). Therefore we will begin selling the CD for $9.97 at midnight Thursday, Sept. 11th. That's right, we'll close as we always do but RE-OPEN at midnight for a short time to have a little party and also sell five of the other Metallica titles for cheapo cheapo prices. You provide the caffeine, we'll provide pizza to the first Death Magnetic buyers. C'mon.
*To clarify: Release date is Friday the 12th so we'll be selling it Thursday night.
